The iQoo 9 and iQoo 9 Pro were unveiled at a Chinese event, with both smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which was just revealed. The smartphones are designed with gamers in mind and include UFS 3.1 storage. The vanilla iQoo 9 is equipped with a flat 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung E5 OLED display, while iQoo 9 Pro sports a curved 6.78-inch Quad-HD+ E5 OLED display. OriginOS Ocean, which is based on Android 12, was also unveiled by iQoo. It'll be included with the iQoo 9 series and will be available on other iQoo devices later this year.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the iQoo 9, which has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The smartphone includes a Samsung E5 OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) resolution. The iQoo 9 has a fingerprint scanner built into the display. The new iQoo 9 has a triple camera configuration that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and a Samsung GN5 1/1.57 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). A 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field-of-view and a 12-megapixel portrait camera are also included in the smartphone. In the meanwhile, the iQoo 9 has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. A 4,700mAh battery powers the smartphone, which also supports 120W rapid charging.

The iQoo 9 Pro, like its more affordable brother, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. UFS 3.1 storage is included with the smartphone. iQoo sports a curved 6.78-inch Quad-HD+ (3,200x1,440 pixels) Samsung E5 10-bit LTPO 2.0 display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The touch sampling rate of the smartphone is 360Hz. A 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 150-degree field-of-view, and a 16-megapixel portrait camera make up the triple camera configuration on the iQoo 9 Pro.

The basic 8GB + 256GB storage variant of the new iQoo 9 costs RMB 3,999. The smartphone will also be available in two storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB storage for RMB 4,399 and 12GB + 512GB storage for RMB 4,799. Meanwhile, iQoo 9 Pro pricing is set at RMB 4,999 for the basic 8GB + 256GB storage option. iQoo will also sell the smartphone in a 12GB + 256GB storage variation priced at RMB 5,499 and a 12GB + 512GB storage model priced at RMB 5,999.
