Niural, a U.S.-based tech startup founded by Nepali-origin couple Nabin Banskota and Nami Baral Banskota, has raised over NPR 4 billion (USD 31 million) in its latest funding round.
Founded in 2022, Niural provides an AI-powered platform that helps businesses manage payroll, compliance, contractor payments, and hiring across more than 150 countries. What makes Niural stand out is its use of artificial intelligence to automatically follow local labor and tax laws—helping finance teams save time and avoid mistakes.
The company’s team includes over 40 employees, with the majority based in Nepal, where all product development happens. The founders aim to showcase Nepal's tech talent on the global stage by building a world-class product from here.
With this new investment, Niural plans to expand its services, grow its engineering team, and further improve its AI features. The platform is already being used by around 300 companies in North America and Europe.
Niural is now competing with major global platforms like Deel, Gusto, and Rippling. But its AI-driven, CFO-focused tools give it a unique advantage. The founders aim to turn Niural into a billion-dollar “unicorn” and list it publicly in the U.S. within a few years.
