House winner revealed under Mero Digital Desh initiative by Esewa Money Transfer
Esewa Money Transfer, a leading digital remittance company, has announced the bumper winner of its 'Mero Digital Desh' initiative. Ms. Anjula Ghimire has won a brand-new house in Kathmandu as the grand prize.
The winner was announced on Wednesday, November 27, through a live broadcast on the official Facebook pages of Esewa Money Transfer and eSewa, as well as on Kantipur Television. Through a digital lucky draw. Ms. Anjula Ghimire was selected as the grand prize winner who won a brand new two-and-a-half-storied house built on an area of 898.36 sq. ft. in Imadol, Ward No. 3, Lalitpur.
‘Mero Digital Desh’ initiative was launched two years ago to encourage the use of formal channels for remittance and to promote digital remittance services. The campaign, which ran from September 18, 2023, to November 15, 2024, offered participants the chance to win a house in Kathmandu by sending remittances digitally to beneficiaries’ eSewa wallet.
During the announcement event, Ajesh Koirala, CEO of Esewa Money Transfer, highlighted the importance of digital remittance and its positive contribution to the national economy. He remarked, 'Mero Digital Desh' initiative has played a vital role in promoting formal remittance systems. I extend my gratitude to all Nepalese who have supported this initiative.
